Membership applications

When you apply for CDT membership we collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number (optional), age range, and membership type. We use this to process your application, communicate with you as a member (including AGM notices and member updates), and meet our obligations as a Scottish charitable incorporated organisation. The legal basis is the performance of a contract and our legitimate interests as a membership organisation.

Contact form enquiries

When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymised usage data (page views, referrers, device type). No personally identifying information is collected. No cookies are set by this service.

Third-party services

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Certain services linked from our sites are operated by independent organisations with their own privacy policies:

  • Clark Anderson Properties — manages self-catering bookings at Cultybraggan Camp. When you book via their site you are subject to their privacy policy.
  • AireStop — manages motorhome aire bookings. When you book via AireStop you are subject to their privacy policy.

How long we keep your data

  • Membership data: retained for the duration of your membership plus 7 years thereafter.
  • Contact form enquiries: retained for 12 months then deleted.
  • Analytics data: anonymised and retained by Vercel per their data retention policy.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, restrict or object to how we process it, and receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
