We own land and buildings in Comrie and put any surplus back into the community.
“CDT was set up by local people who wanted Comrie to have more say in its own future. That's still what it's for.”
We buy local assets, keep rents below market rate, run enterprises, and put any surplus back into the village. Our main base is Cultybraggan Camp — 100 acres bought back from the Ministry of Defence in 2007 for £350,000, with 97% of the community voting in favour.
We're member-owned. Commercial income and grants fund the work. Every pound stays in Comrie. Read more about how we work →
The orchard in season — fruit, volunteers, and the work of care made visible
Should feel warm, productive, and human. Not a catalogue image. A real moment on a real Sunday morning.
Community Orchard
Pruning, mulching, planting, and harvesting fruit that goes directly to local households. First Sunday of the month, all welcome.
The camp exterior — scale and history in a single frame
Wide, unhurried. Architecture is the subject. Against: empty carpark, generic exterior.
Camp & Heritage
Environmental action in progress — not a logo, a landscape
Something growing or being planted. Human presence. Against: stock forest.
